OXOID
OXOID
Oxoid™ Slanetz & Bartley Agar is a selective medium formulated for the isolation and enumeration of Enterococci (faecal streptococci) from water, food, and environmental samples. This medium supports the growth of Enterococcus species while inhibiting non-target flora, making it ideal for microbiological quality testing and environmental monitoring.
Features:
Selective for Enterococci: Contains sodium azide to inhibit Gram-negative bacteria and other competing organisms.
Differential Identification: Enterococcus colonies typically appear red or maroon, enabling easy recognition.
Reliable Performance: Proven formulation for accurate enumeration in compliance with ISO and water testing standards.
Ready-to-Use Format: Supplied as pre-poured 90 mm monoplate for convenience, consistency, and reduced preparation time.
Quality Assured: Produced under strict Oxoid™ quality control to ensure reproducible results across batches.
Applications:
Isolation and enumeration of Enterococcus spp. from water, food, and environmental samples.
Use in public health, food safety, and environmental microbiology laboratories.
Packaging:
90 mm monoplate, pack of 10
